Thank you for travelling to be with us — truly. Everything below is here to make the trip feel easy and unhurried.
Getting to Lebanon
Arrival airport
Beirut–Rafic Hariri Intl (BEY)
Recommended arrival
Thu, June 10, 2027
Passport
Valid for at least 6 months beyond arrival — and please read the important note on Israeli stamps below
Visa (US citizens)
Granted free on arrival at the Beirut airport — nothing to arrange in advance. Have your return ticket and hotel details handy at immigration
Entry requirements
Straightforward for US passport holders: passport, visa on arrival, done. Other nationalities — please verify with the nearest Lebanese consulate
From the airport
≈ 30–40 min by car to the Adma / Jounieh hotels
An important note on passports: Lebanon does not admit travelers whose passports show evidence of travel to Israel — any Israeli entry or exit stamp or visa, however old, will result in being turned away at the border, and the experience at the airport can be far more serious than a simple refusal. If your passport carries such a stamp, please renew your passport before your trip so you travel on a clean document — and feel free to reach out to us privately; we're glad to help.
ⓘ
Immigration, visa, airline, and government requirements can change. Please verify current entry rules through official sources (your airline and Lebanon's official channels) before you travel. We're happy to help point you in the right direction.
Flying from the United States
One stop from the US
There are no nonstop flights from the United States to Beirut, so plan on one connection. The smoothest single-ticket routes run through Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Paris (Air France), Frankfurt or Munich (Lufthansa), and London (Middle East Airlines from Heathrow). From the East Coast, expect roughly 14–17 hours door to door.
Keep your layover over 2 hours
Please book a connection of at least 2 hours — ideally 3. On short layovers, checked luggage sometimes does not make the connecting flight, and Istanbul in particular is a very large airport to cross. A slightly longer stop is far better than arriving in Lebanon without your black-tie attire.
Book on one ticket
Keep both flights on a single ticket with your bags checked through to Beirut (BEY). If a delay causes a missed connection, the airline rebooks you and is responsible for your luggage — protection you lose when the legs are booked separately.
When to arrive
We suggest landing by Thursday, June 10, 2027 — two days before the wedding. It gives your luggage a day to catch up if it is delayed, lets you settle in, and means you can join the welcome gathering on Friday evening if you receive that invitation.
Fly MEA into Beirut
For the final leg — from Paris, London, Istanbul, or wherever you connect — choose Middle East Airlines (MEA), Lebanon's national carrier, whenever it's an option. It is the least likely to cancel the Beirut leg, and as the hometown airline it is always the last to stop flying and the first to resume.
